Hold the date! June 11 is the day that winners of the 2014 Jazz Journalists Association Jazz Awards will be honored at a reception at the Blue Note club in New York City. The party is open to the public; tickets will go on sale online via this site soon.
Professional Jazz Journalist members will begin voting next week to determine the winners of the JJA's 32 awards for music and recording and 12 jazz journalism awards. Music/recording award winners will be announced throughout the month of May and each of those winners will receive the engraved award at one of his or her public performances during the summer and fall. Winners in the jazz journalism categories will be announced and awards will be given out during the June 11 party, all winners will be honored at the event.
